10. Ba Kombo Ebele (feat. Michel Bakenda)
Alright, starting with this duo with Congolese gospel singer Michel Bakenda at the 10th place. This is a pure Congolese rumba-like arrangement. If I were not a Lingala speaker, I would not have thought of it as a gospel song at all. Ba Kombo Ebele is a well-flavored song. The video clip is also pretty colorful and nice to watch.
Ba Kombo Ebele means “many names”, referring to the many names of Yahweh, Christian’s God. As many Gospel songs, it talks about how good Yahweh is. The cryings have change into smiles. They were lost and God fund and saved them and became in many ways their provider.
