Sans amour

On the same note as Humanisme (the previous song), Sans amour (loveless) is an even more nostalgic song about a lover that left. This time the lover is called Theophile. Yes, a Libanga song as many others in Control. Now that Theophile is no more around, she complains: “atiki nga sans amour”, meaning he deprived me of love. Their love started as a game and later became true and deep. I think those are the ones that hurt the most when they’re over.

Sans Amour is the type of song that can easily set the ambiance at parties. I can picture myself at a wedding party asking people “what’s this song playing? It’s not bad at all”, all while waiting for the bride and groom. Hints: the laters usually show up very late in Kinshasa weddings.
