Mbongwana

Toward the end, Control songs look pretty similar. Mbongwana means “change” in Lingala. Once more, the song discusses the change, from deep love relationship to indifference from one of the lovers. This is a very common recipe in Control songs. It this particular song, the lover wonders about how this changed in the relationship. Mistresses have become more powerful and influential than the main character of the song. And it puzzles her. Voila!

Mbongwana concludes the first part of the Control tour. I hope you appreciated and learned a couple of things about this huge album.

Thanks for taking the time to read through this tour. In case you have feedback or questions, I would be more than happy to address them.
