Madilu’s Abrupt Death

Madilu’s other hit albums then followed. Bonne Humeur (Good mood) was his last album, released in 2007. He traveled to Kinshasa for a video shooting trip, and on August 10, 2007, Madilu collapsed and was admitted to the Kinshasa University hospital. The next morning, August 11, the news of Madilu’s death from a possible heart attack spread in Kinshasa. Jean Bialu was buried at the Gombe churchyard, on August 22, 2007. Madilu was in the process of reestablishing a presence in the DRC, with more live performances. In 2008, the label company Syllart Productions released Madilu’s posthumous album tilted Dernieres Volonte (Last Wishes).
